Citizens of Russia and the CIS need a visa to visit Bangladesh. A visa can be issued both upon arrival at the international airport of Dhaka, and at the consular section of the Bangladesh embassy in Moscow or at the embassies and consulates of Bangladesh located in neighboring states.

Visa processing upon arrival

To apply for a visa at the Dhaka International Airport, you must present the following documents:

1. passport valid for at least six months from the end of the trip;
2. return ticket;
3. customs declaration and migration card. Both documents are completed by the applicant in English or Bengali.

The maximum validity of such a visa is 15 days.

Visa upon arrival is not issued for journalists, volunteers of international humanitarian organizations, as well as persons engaged in missionary activities.

Visa processing at the consulate

To apply for a tourist visa, the following documents must be submitted to the consular section of the Bangladesh Embassy in Moscow:

1. passport valid for at least six months from the end of the trip;
2. 3 recent black and white or color photographs of 3×4 cm without corners and ovals;
3. 3 questionnaires completed in English and signed by the applicant;
4. an invitation from a travel agency in Bangladesh or confirmation of a hotel reservation ;
5. if a child is traveling, a copy of the birth certificate must be provided. If the child is entered in the parents’ passport, separate questionnaires for him are not filled out.
